Best Vehicles for Uber/Lift Drivers

There is a big number of the US population that works part or full time driving people or food around for Uber, Lift and all the other right sharing companies. Luckily there are a few car models out there that are especially suitable for this kind of service. All of these models are from premium or luxury brands so they qualify for the Uber Select & Comfort and Lyft Lux.

The first choice would be the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. Two years old, low millage MKZ Hybrid could be found in the low $20k range and it does very well on gas, but also is super comfortable and has optional Revel sound system that scored second best place for sound quality in a recent test by Automag. The engine used in that Lincoln 2.0 NA is also being used in a couple of Ford models since 2013 and it has proven itself as being quite reliable.

The second choice would be Lexus ES 300H, it is another very reliable plush ride. Prices on these however are higher than the Lincoln, but there should be a lot of choice on the used market. Both of these cars however have one negative side - small trunk, and this is where the third choice come into play.

Buick Regal Sportback in either Essence or Avenir trim. The trunk space of the Sportback is twice the size of the other two choices near 32 cu ft. The interior is on the premium side and the exterior is quite nice looking. Fortunately many people overlook those, which leads to incredibly low prices on the used market and thus making them very appealing choice on this list. You can literally buy a year old very low mileage Regal Sportbacks for half the price of new at the moment! What's even better, GM managed to make them a lot lighter in weight then previous generation Regal. This helps for both fuel economy and performance. Hooked with some cheap modes the Sportback can be a lot of fun to drive as well. Just buy stickier and wider tires for the front. The 245mm wide tires that the front wheel drive version of the Regal comes with, tend to spin a lot when on a hurry.
